Acceptance of these terms
These terms cover your use of the Elite Brownsville Concrete Construction website and any estimate, agreement or work you get from us. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to these terms.
If a written estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the written estimate or contract controls for that job. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site or book work through it.
Description of services
Elite Brownsville Concrete Construction is a concrete contractor in Brownsville, TX. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, pool decks, garage floors, slabs, footings, foundations, retaining walls, parking lots and decorative or stamped concrete. We also do concrete cutting and foundation raising. We work in Brownsville and the cities around it. You can see the full list of services and areas from our home page.
The information on this website is general. It describes how concrete work is usually done and what usually affects it. It is not a promise about your property, because every site is different and some conditions only show up once the old slab is out or the ground is dug. The scope of your job is whatever your written estimate or contract describes.
Estimates and pricing
We give free estimates at your property, and there's no pressure to book. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, including the size of the area, the thickness of the slab, how much digging and base work the ground needs, how the water drains, how easy it is to get trucks and equipment in, and the finish you choose.
Prices on an estimate are good for the period written on it. If none is written, ask us before you book. If we find something during the job that wasn't visible at the estimate, such as soft or wet ground under the old slab, buried debris, roots or old concrete, we'll stop, show you, and explain the change and its cost before we do the extra work. We won't add charges for extra work you haven't agreed to.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We set your start date when you book, and we'll do our best to keep it. Concrete is weather work, so rain, high wind, extreme heat or wet ground can push a pour back. We would rather move the date than pour into conditions that weaken the slab. Material delivery, equipment trouble and other things outside our control can also shift the schedule, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (956) 505-5331 as early as you can. If you cancel after we have ordered materials or started work, you may owe us for materials ordered and work already done, as described in your estimate or contract. If we have to cancel, we'll reschedule with you or refund any deposit for work we haven't done.
Payment terms
The deposit, payment schedule and accepted payment methods for your job are written on your estimate or contract. On larger jobs we may ask for a deposit before we order materials, with the balance due when the work is finished.
Payment is due on the dates your estimate or contract gives. If a payment is late, we may pause remaining work until it's paid, and you may be responsible for reasonable collection costs where Texas law allows. If you have a question about an invoice, please contact us before the due date so we can sort it out.
Your responsibilities as the property owner
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us about anything we should know before we dig, such as sprinkler lines, private utility lines, septic systems, drainage pipes or property line questions. We aren't responsible for damage to private lines or features that weren't marked or disclosed to us.
You're responsible for any approval your homeowners association requires, and for checking with the city or county about whether your job needs a permit, unless your written agreement with us says otherwise. Please keep people, pets and vehicles off fresh concrete for as long as we tell you, because using it too soon is one of the most common reasons a new slab gets marked, chipped or cracked.
Our satisfaction guarantee and what it covers
Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the work we did isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our workmanship. Any written warranty on your contract gives the specific terms for your job.
Concrete is a natural material, and some things are normal and are not defects. Concrete shrinks as it cures, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength, so small hairline cracks can appear. We cut control joints, grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack, to keep cracks where they do the least harm, but no contractor can promise a slab that never cracks. Slight color differences between pours, normal surface wear, and changes from ground movement, flooding, tree roots, de-icing products, heavy vehicles the slab wasn't built for, or work done by others after us are not covered.
Other than our satisfaction guarantee and any written warranty in your contract, we make no other promises about the work or this website, to the extent Texas law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent Texas law allows, Elite Brownsville Concrete Construction is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses connected to our work or this website, such as lost use of a driveway, lost income or inconvenience. Our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We are fully licensed and insured. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that Texas law says can't be limited, including responsibility for our own gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Use of this website
The text, photos and other content on this site belong to Elite Brownsville Concrete Construction. You're welcome to read it and share links to it, but please don't copy it for commercial use without asking us first.
We try to keep the site accurate and up to date, but it may contain errors or go out of date. Information you send through our contact form is used to reply to you and to prepare your estimate. You can read more about who we are on our About page.
Dispute resolution
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, please call us first. Most problems get fixed with a conversation and a visit to the property, and we'll reply within 1 business day.
If we can't settle it together, we both agree to try good faith mediation before going to court, unless the dispute qualifies for small claims court. Each side pays its own costs of mediation unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any lawsuit about these terms or our work will be brought in the state courts that serve Brownsville, Texas, unless Texas law requires a different place.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the one that applies to your use of the site. For a job, the terms in place when you signed your estimate or contract apply, unless we both agree in writing to change them.
